1. How can I check if advocacy is for me?

The best thing to do is give us a call and we can talk about it. If we can’t help you we can probably put you in touch with another organisation who can.

2. How can I make a referral for myself or someone else?

Please contact us by phone, email or text. You can also make a referral to us using our online form.
If you want to get advocacy for someone else, please just check with them first that you can pass their details on to us.

3. Will I have to pay?

No, all our services are free

4. Where does your funding come from?

We receive money from the City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian and the Scottish Government to provide our different services. We have also been granted money from a number of other charities to expand what we do and reach even more people.

5. Are you really independent?

Yes, although our funding comes from some of the big organisations who provide health and social care services, we are not part of them. Our job is to make sure you understand your rights and options and support you to have your views included in everything that affects your life.

6. What if I think you haven’t been able to help me?

We want to hear from you! By using the Feedback section of the website you can tell us how we did, or how we could have done better. If you want to make a complaint about any aspect of your contact with us, it is easy to do so. You can call us, email or fill in the feedback form and someone will get back to you to find out more.
