Equally Safe at AdvoCard

We are proud to affirm our support for the Equally Safe at Work initiative. Our commitment to gender equality, safety, and inclusion is not just a statement of values—it’s a long-term investment in a fairer workplace and a stronger organisation. We fully recognise the links between women’s labour market inequality, violence against women (VAW), and broader structural gender inequality. We also understand that women’s experiences of work are not all the same. We are committed to tackling intersectional barriers faced by racially minoritised women, disabled women, lesbian, bisexual, and trans women, by building equity into everything we do.

To ensure our progress is meaningful and sustainable, we are taking the following concrete steps to promote awareness, prevent discrimination, and eliminate any form of harassment or violence in our workplace:

Embedding gender equality into our systems and culture by reviewing and updating policies and procedures to reflect gender-sensitive and trauma-informed approaches and carrying out regular gender pay analysis and using the findings to shape decision-making.

Building staff capacity and confidence by delivering ongoing training on gender equality, intersectionality, and safe workplace practices, providing specialist resources and guidance for managers and creating safe spaces for staff to raise concerns, share experiences, and feed into policy reviews

We are setting clear, measurable goals related to gender equality to enable us to Monitor progress and hold ourselves accountable. This will enable us to provide an annual report using the gathered learning to adapt and improve our approach

We aim to creat an inclusive and empowering workplace by promoting flexible working, supportive leave policies, and pathways to leadership and having zero tolerance for all forms of harassment, discrimination, and violence

We know that progressing gender equality isn’t a one-off task—it’s a continuous process. That’s why we’re embedding these principles into every area of how we work.

We believe that diversity and equality are fundamental to our success. By championing the Equally Safe at Work standards, we are not only cultivating the culture within our own organisation but also contributing to a broader movement that seeks to change societal attitudes and practices for the better.
